The world really is tiny. Major Lazer is an awesome side project of Diplo and Switch. One if their first videos out is for Zumbie and features the great Andy Milonakis who is dressed up as a zombie wearing an awesome Mishka t-shirt.

I stumbled across Sub Swara when I first saw the Takeover flyer. Having not heard of them but knowing everyone else on the ticket I realized that there must be some reason why I don’t know who they are. They don’t just jam in a twobit DJ between Secret Night of Science and Trouble and Bass DJs. Like any curious music fan I went to myspace and found some wicked Ragga meets Lo-Fi meets bassline heavy tracks. I thought to myself how did I miss the boat on these guys, this shit is off the hook.
I wanted more! Even though I knew I would be seeing them live on Friday I couldn’t wait. I need to hear a mix, I needed more tracks to get through the rest of the week.
Luckily I got in touch with the Sub Swara folks and got this wondrously melodic bassline heavy hour of tunage.
